The Renard family, after much consideration and with heavy hearts, have announced the permanent closure of our Algoma retail store located on County S, effective October 5, 2022. Staffing shortages have impacted many businesses over the past few years. Up until recently, Renard’s Cheese has avoided the impact of these shortages, however this is no longer the case.

Our Mission/Vision Statement, which is the core of our values, reads as follows: “To create an exceptional customer experience and seek excellence in all that we do, and to inspire and empower our staff to be the best they can be.” In order to maintain our outstanding customer service and to ensure our team members have reasonable working hours and a work/life balance, we have made the difficult decision to close the Algoma retail store. This will allow us to combine our amazing team members at one location to serve our valued customers with the highest level of service we can provide. Our customers and employees are very important to us. As always, the Renard family looks forward to serving our community!

Renard’s Cheese Store in Sturgeon Bay will remain open Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM and Saturday and Sunday 9 AM to 4 PM. Melt Bistro is also still open at our Sturgeon Bay store. The hours are Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM, and Saturday/Sunday from 9 AM to 4 PM.
